Day 34 Daily Cleaning

Today I cleaned at Newton Lake in an area behind a carwash and CVS. I have been to this spot before, but this time something caught my eye as soon as I walked down the hill.

The item was covered in moss and seemed like a fabric of sorts. I set up my camera and prepared to go get my shovel to dig it out. Luckily, I was able to get a firm grip on it without the shovel. It didn't take to much effort to pull out an old deteriorated duffel bag.

I moved on and found two spots near each other that were covered in the normal litter, so I decided to do dirty/clean part of my video. Buried in one of the piles of leaves I found what looked to be an old plastic car part and a small American flag. I finished cleaning the spots up and starting looking for what was next.

Towards the top of the hill I spotted a loose tire. It was easy to pick up and move, except I had to go uphill with it. I found a few pieces of trash and a shoe while bringing the tire up the hill. Part of the fun of recording yourself is you don't always get the shot. I thought I recorded myself kicking the shoe down the hill, but its fine.

At this point I was wrapping everything up when I found a jacket buried in the leaves. I had to try it on for the video, so I wrapped that Guess jacket around my shoulders. It was a terrible idea because it had been raining and it was disgusting.

Overall I was able to clean one bag of trash and collect all of those other items. There is still a lot of trash and litter back there, so I will return to see what other trash treasures I can find.
